Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council wishes to contribute to the improvement of the Eastwood ward by releasing an underused site to the market and introducing additional residential accommodation.

The Council wishes to appoint a developer partner to design a housing led scheme which can be taken forward to planning and delivered on site. It is expected that the developer partner will be responsible for the full end to end development and build.

Bidder's proposals must show as a minimum, how the following aims will be delivered:

— contribute a new and creative housing offer for the area,

— assist in the creation of a secure and settled population,

— minimise opportunities for anti social behaviour,

— create a stronger built frontage on surrounding roads,

— improve the quality of the street scene and contribute towards uplifting the area,

— make a gateway statement for people approaching and exiting the roundabout,
