Supply of the normal heat flux first wall panels for the ITER blanket system. The supply involves qualification, manufacturing, factory testing, delivery and witnessing of the final acceptance testing of the panels at the ITER site.
The scope of the contract will be split into separate tasks:
The baseline scope of the contract will be:
— Task 1: Implementation of the required industrial production means;
— Task 2: Qualification of production means and processes through the fabrication of a small pre-series of First Wall (FW) panels;
— Task 3: Fabrication of an initial batch of FW panels.
The remaining panels in the series of 215 are not part of the baseline scope of the contract. They will be divided into batches of panels and will be awarded following re-openings of competition between contractors that have performed Task 1, 2 and 3.
— tenderers will be required to provide ‘Target Prices’ and ‘Ceiling Prices’ for Task 1, Task 2 and Task 3,
— tenderers will be required to provide ‘Maximum Target Prices’ and ‘Maximum Ceiling Prices’ for the remaining batches of panels that will be awarded following re-openings of competition.

Series Production of the NHF ITER Blanket First Wall Panels
The ITER Blanket/First Wall (FW) system is the innermost part of the ITER reactor directly exposed to the plasma. Its basic function is to provide the main thermal and nuclear shielding to the vacuum vessel and external reactor components. Its concept is a modular configuration mechanically attached to the vacuum vessel. The Blanket modules consist of stainless steel shield blocks on which separable FW panels are mechanically attached. The FW panels (the subject of this procedure) have typical dimensions of 1 m x 1.5 m, weigh about 1 ton and consist of a bi-metallic support structure bonded to backing plate with Beryllium tiles that directly face the plasma. Each FW panel is cooled by pressurised water with a 70
