A decision has been made that the veterinary training and the Norwegian Veterinary Institute will move from Adamstuen in Oslo and be jointly located at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, NMBU, in Ås. The Ministry of Education has given Statsbygg the task of carrying out the construction project (SLP) and procure user equipment (BUT). This is organised as two projects, with one joint project executive director.

The contract includes internal foil in the veterinary building. The veterinary building houses premises for the Norwegian Veterinary Institute (VI) and the Veterinary College, which is part of the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). The site is approx. 63 000 m2 and consists of 9 buildings. These include activities for VI and NMBU in the veterinary building, as well as a joint building, which has a canteen for NMBU and student-orientated activities, which are shared with the rest of the campus.
