Project Description:
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) intends to provide a sovereign loan up to USD 250 000 000 to the Arab Republic of Egypt to be on-lent to the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and its subsidiary Suez Oil Processing Company (SOPC). The proposed project consists of energy efficiency investments in SOPC fully consistent with the Green Economy Transition (GET) Approach and other refurbishments and installations to improve its operational performance, environmental footprint and utilisation rate.

2. Supply and Installation of new Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU) – procurement in process
3. Energy Efficiency Investments – procurement to be initiated
4. VDU Asphalt Unit – procurement to be initiated (ECEPP - EBRD Client e-Procurement Portal)
5. Project Implementation Unit (PIU) Consulting Services – procurement completed
The procurement process for component 3 above is planned to be initiated during Q3 2019.
