Improving farm safety on grain farms is an area of investment identified as a priority of Portfolio Team Five through gap identification in early 2024. Work conducted by the National Centre for Farmer Health has identified that growers sharing stories of farm safety incidents and the consequent mitigation strategies is more effective in raising awareness and helping growers implement practice change compared to ‘experts’ sharing information on how to improve OH&S on farm.
