American Society of Landscape Architects Elevates Allyson Mendenhall of Design Workshop to the Council of Fellows

DENVER, Nov. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) formally recognized Allyson Mendenhall as one of its 2019 elected Fellows at its annual Conference on Landscape Architecture.

Elevation to the ASLA Council of Fellows is among the highest honors that the ASLA bestows upon its members and recognizes their contributions to the profession and is based on their work, leadership and management, knowledge and service to society at large. The designation of Fellow is granted to individuals in recognition of their exceptional accomplishments throughout their career.

Allyson received her nomination from ASLA's Colorado Chapter. A Principal and LEED-certified landscape architect in Design Workshop's Denver office, she directs DW Legacy Design®, the firm's method for comprehensive sustainable performance on every project, as well as its project and quality management standards. A published author of best practices for planners and designers, many of Allyson's programs serve as national models for the profession, and she is widely sought-after nationally and locally for board leadership roles. Her leadership on the Landscape Architecture Foundation Board of Directors helped to refine the Landscape Performance Series and set a new standard for the profession. She is a Mayoral Trustee of the Denver Botanic Gardens, a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Colorado Denver College of Architecture and Planning and serves on the Harvard Alumni Association Board Executive Committee. With over 20 years of professional experience, Allyson's innovative landscape architecture practice serves as an inspiration for the profession.
