Cadence announces seed round at Wharton Global Forum
HONG KONG, July 10, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Cadence (www.cadencetranslate.com), a service bringing real-time translation into conference calls and livestreams, announced today a closing on its seed round. The announcement occurred at the 50th Wharton Global Forum, which holds significance for the company as it held its public debut at the 45th Wharton Global Forum in Beijing.
Investors in the round include Tao Zhang, Founder & CEO of Dianping, and Lan Kang, Global Head of HR for Fosun International. Both are Wharton alumni and were compelled to invest by the tremendous value that Cadence's services can provide for global corporations.

Other participating investors in the round include professors of interpretation, hedge fund managers as well as engineers from Amazon. The company also raised money through 500 Startups earlier in the year. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company, which was also the official interpretation provider of the Hong Kong Wharton Global Forum, currently has offices in Beijing, San Francisco and New York.
