Home Bay Real Estate Technology Widely Adopted by California Brokers

SAN DIEGO, July 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Home Bay Technologies Inc., a technology-driven real estate company, confirms real estate brokerages across the State of California are now using its online proprietary real estate purchase agreement. More than 1,600 agents and brokerages statewide have now used the Home Bay form.

Such adoption by the real estate community presents a departure from traditional use of the paper real estate form put out by the California Association of Realtors.

"We believe the simplicity of our offer software has encouraged brokers statewide to use our online real estate purchase agreement in lieu of the CAR form," said Tom Owen, Co-founder and CEO at Home Bay.

Mr. Owen, an attorney who formerly worked at Silicon Valley's Cooley, developed the Home Bay purchase agreement with attorneys from major California law firms.

Home Bay presented a list on its blog of the brokerages who have submitted offers through Home Bay's proprietary platform. As of July 7, 2017, Home Bay had transacted $280M in home sales in California alone, saving customers over $6M in real estate commissions.
