SitaWare supports future US Army technology
The US Army is about to change how soldiers operate mission command networks through future Command Post Computing Environment (CP CE). Systematic provides the backbone of CP CE, allowing the system to function through SitaWare and supporting the commanders with a seamless look and feel of the battle space.
In a future operating environment, in which the decision cycle needs to be much quicker, the US Army has to get away from large forward-operating bases and tactical operation centres. This established the foundation of CP CE, which sums up a set of computing technologies and standards that enable a variety of communications capabilities with common baselines.
“SitaWare is an open architecture command and control system, 15 years in the making, and provides the customer with the ability to customize their tactics, techniques and procedures, and fighting within mission command. At the same time, the system is bringing in capabilities for the war fighter, whether they are sensors or other battlefield-operated systems,” Systematic President Rafael Torres says in an interview with C4ISRNET.
Rafael continues by stating that the system reduces size and footprint, giving the ability for commanders to customize how they want to see their fight.
