Emergency Physicians' White Coat Day on Capitol Hill
What:
More than 900 emergency physicians from across the nation will be on Capitol Hill Wednesday, November 1, spreading the word about the critical role of emergency medicine in the nation's health care system and addressing issues affecting more than 140 million patients treated in emergency departments each year--including recent efforts by commercial insurers to circumvent coverage requirements for emergency care.
This event is the conclusion of the ACEP17 Scientific Assembly, the largest annual gathering and education venue for emergency physicians. The doctors will be wearing white coats.
Where:
The emergency physicians will start at the West Front of the U.S. Capitol before separating into state delegations to attend meetings with congressional offices.
When:
The physicians will arrive at 10:30 am EST on Wednesday, November 1(st), 2017
