Citizens Rx Announces Bill Barre As Executive Vice President
OAK PARK, Ill., Nov. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Citizens Rx is pleased to announce that, effective November 1, 2017, Bill Barre has joined the company as its Executive Vice President of Business Development. Bill will be responsible for the strategic growth and business development of Citizens Rx focusing on developing relations within the Pharmacy Benefit Management market to successfully drive new sales and revenue opportunities.
Bill has spent the last thirty (30) years as an executive in retail pharmacy and the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry. Most recently, Bill served as the CEO/President of 123PurpleAlligator a firm that focuses on consumer solutions within the pharmacy industry. Prior to 123PurpleAlligator, Bill served as Vice President of Business Development for MedImpact, one of the (5) largest PBMs nationally. Bill was responsible for partnering in the development of successful pharmacy consumer companies such as GoodRx and Blink Health. He was the key creator of MedImpact Direct, a unique hub portal model system created for mail and specialty pharmacy drug fulfillment. He holds several patents through MedImpact that focus on unique payer reimbursement models that have saved consumers and plan sponsors millions of dollars. Prior to joining MedImpact, Bill worked for Target Store Pharmacies as its head of managed care contracting and pharmacy marketing. Bill has held numerous sales and leadership positions with both Revco Drug Stores and CVS Pharmacy. Bill is recognized as a national thought leader in the space of Pharmacy Benefit Management and has spoken multiple times at such events as: NCPDP, NACDS, FMI, and Asembia. Bill is a registered pharmacist and he currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the National Council of Prescription Drug Programs.
