Baylor University Awards Willbanks with Heritage Award

Willbanks & Associates, Inc. was awarded with this year’s Texas Family Business of the Year – Heritage Award. This award is given to the SUCCESSFUL family business that has overcome statistical odds to achieve the rare status of maintaining continuous existence through at least three generations of family ownership.

On Friday, November 3, 2017, The Institute for Family Business at Baylor University honored the 2017 award winners with a banquet at Baylor University’s Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation. The awards program – now in its 28th year – recognizes outstanding firms who demonstrate a commitment to business continuity while serving their employees, community, and industry.

Today, Willbanks was recognized for its long-standing presence, maintaining its roots with the family’s subsequent generations.

The company was founded by Carroll Willbanks, Sr. in November 1977 as a manufacturer’s representative for commercial heating and hot water equipment. Today this business is still fully intact along with multiple expanded offerings.

Carroll Willbanks, Sr., C. Garey Willbanks, Jr., and Tyler Willbanks represented each generation Friday evening and accepted the award on behalf of the company.
