Echo Fox Returns to the Summoner's Rift with Powerful New Roster for the 2018 North American LCS Season and New Academy Team Recruited After First-of-its-Kind Academy Boot Camp

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Dec. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Echo Fox, the premier esports organization, announced today that it has solidified its 5-man player rosters for its 2018 North American LCS and Academy Teams. The upcoming seasons will take place on the Summoner's Rift, the most common competitive map in League of Legends.

Jared Jeffries, President of Echo Fox, is enthusiastic for what awaits in 2018. "We aspire to create a culture that promotes player development and growth and are excited to provide our new LCS and Academy teams with every advantage possible to ensure success. Echo Fox is proud to have attracted some of the best talent in the League of Legends universe and we believe that our new teams will continue our rapid rise into the top echelon of esports organizations worldwide."

Echo Fox's 2018 LCS roster will be comprised of some of the best players in the world. Coming off a second-place finish at the 2017 World Championship with SK Telecom T1, Huni will be reprising his role as the top laner for the team while Dardoch will continue his aggressive playstyle in the Jungle. In addition, Altec and Adrian will be a dominate force in the Bot lane after coming over from Team Dignitas. Finally, FeniX will be the team's Midlane player after an amazing performance in the Challenger scene last year with Gold Coin United.

"I strongly believe that when this roster takes to the Rift, the world is going to see the highest level of play that an Echo Fox team has ever produced in the LCS," said Rick Fox. "I'm proud that we've been able to curate such a competitive team for this upcoming season and I know that we will be in the running for the NA LCS Spring Championship."

The rosters are as follows:

LCS Team
Top - Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon
Jungle - Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett
Mid - Kim "FeniX" Jae-hun
ADC - Johnny "Altec" Ru
Support - Adrian "Adrian" Ma

Academy Team
Top - Kieran "Allorim" Logue
Jungle - Nathan "TheOddOrange" Ryan
Mid - Tanner "Damonte" Damonte
ADC - Lawrance "Lost" Hui
Support - John "Papa Chau" Le

For the 2018 season and moving forward, the Academy league will provide a place for young and developing players to gain more experience before transitioning to the LCS. Unlike past seasons, the 2018 LCS will no longer have teams being relegated to the newly renamed Academy league.

Echo Fox made its esports debut in 2015 when its namesake Rick Fox purchased a slot to join the North American LCS for the Spring Split. Over the past two years, the team has proven its commitment to its players by providing an ideal environment that promotes continued development and growth through offerings like player housing, fitness, nutrition programs and more.

Echo Fox will step into 2018 for the NA LCS Spring Split with a strong lineup, ready to face off where it matters most - on the Summoner's Rift. With help from the new roster and support from its fans, Echo Fox will be gunning for its first playoff appearance and a shot at the NA LCS championship.

"2018 will be an exciting year for us! I am proud and thrilled to rep the Fox jersey next year," said Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon. "Furthermore, I am prepared for what the future brings us. Keep an eye on us, we're ready to show you guys some amazing game play."

"I'm excited to join such a top org like Echo Fox," said Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett. "With a fresh start in the year, I look forward to working with a talented roster and really supportive staff."

"I am so happy and thrilled to return to the LCS this season! I'm excited to play for Echo Fox and I hope I can show people the skills that I have been working on this year," said Kim "FeniX" Jae-hun. "I will try my best to work alongside my teammates to dominate the LCS games and show the best side of me as a player."

"I'm proud to be the new ADC for Echo Fox," said Johnny "Altec" Ru. "I have a lot of confidence in our roster and I'm extremely excited to compete in the 2018 LCS with them. I can't wait to show you guys what we can do!"

"I'm very excited and honored to be a part of the Echo Fox family," said Adrian "Adrian" Ma. "They have gone above and beyond my expectations by taking care of me and I have been very impressed by their infrastructure and accommodations. I'm looking forward to what 2018 brings for our team and hope you will all support us!"
