G-SHOCK Announces New 35th Anniversary Limited Edition RED OUT Series

DOVER, N.J., Jan. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --Today, Casio G-SHOCK introduces the new, limited edition RED OUT Series, in continued celebration of the brand's 35(th) anniversary. Featuring G-SHOCK's iconic red brand colorway, the four-model series boasts a newly developed coating technology that incorporates particles into paint to provide a deep, lusterless matte-red finish.

The series is comprised of four popular G-SHOCK base models -- the DW5635C-4, DW5735C-4, DW6935C-4 and GA735C-4A -- each featuring a deep red LCD display, black IP metal band loop stamped with stars, and black IP metal case back engraved with the G-SHOCK 35(th) anniversary logo designed by artist Eric Haze. The newest collection embodies G-SHOCK's identity and consistent pursuit of advancements in toughness for years to come.

The DW5635C incorporates the iconic square watch face, mirroring the heritage of the very first G-SHOCK model. The DW5735C is based on the DW5700, an early G-SHOCK best known for its round case with a digital liquid crystal display, and the DW6935C is based on the DW6900, the primary case silhouette of multiple G-SHOCK collaboration models. The GA735C boasts an oversized case, Super LED Light, 3D bold hands, world time (in 31 time zones, 48 cities + UTC), a five-year battery and a hand retract function.

Each model comes equipped with G-SHOCK's legendary structure of 200M water resistance and shock resistance, in addition to an EL Backlight, multiple alarms, 1/100(th) second stopwatch, 1/10(th) countdown timer and 12/24 hour formats.

The DW5635C-4, DW5735C-4, DW6935C-4, and GA735C-4A, with case sizes of 42.8mm, 45.4mm, 50mm and 53.4mm respectively, will retail for $140, and will be available for purchase beginning in February 2018 at standard G-SHOCK retailers, including Macy's, shopcasio.com, and the G-SHOCK Soho Store.

About G-SHOCK
CASIO's shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch is synonymous with toughness, born from the developer Mr. Ibe's dream of 'creating a watch that never breaks'. Over 200 handmade samples were created and tested to destruction until finally in 1983 the first, now iconic G-SHOCK hit the streets of Japan and began to establish itself as 'the toughest watch of all time'. Each watch encompasses the 7 elements; electric shock resistance, gravity resistance, low temperature resistance, vibration resistance, water resistance, shock resistance and toughness. The watch is packed with Casio innovations and technologies to prevent it from suffering direct shock; this includes internal components protected with urethane and suspended timekeeping modules inside the watch structure. Since its launch, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve, continuing to support on Mr. Ibe's mantra "never, never give up." www.gshock.com
