Aviation Week Network, AIAA Open Nominations for 2019 20 Twenties Awards to Recognize Top Technology Talent Across the Global A&D Industry

NEW YORK, March 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviation Week Network (http://www.aviationweek.com), in association with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), today announced that nominations are open for the 2019 "Tomorrow's Technology Leaders: The 20 Twenties" awards program.

Established in 2013, the 20 Twenties program recognizes future innovators and leaders of the aerospace and defense (A&D) industry. Nominees are students in their 20s who are currently enrolled in baccalaureate or master's degree Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) programs. Award criteria is based on academic performance, public/community involvement and the value of research and design projects to the individual's learning.

"Identifying, actively engaging and developing the next-generation of A&D technology talent is vital to the future of this industry," Greg Hamilton, Aviation Week Network president, said. "The 20 Twenties program recognizes the rising stars on course to change the face of A&D. Nominations are now open to professors, deans and faculty of students, women and men in their 20s from around the globe who represent the best of the best in terms of talent, creativity and ability."

The 20 Twenties award winners will be recognized in March 2019 at the 20 Twenties Awards Luncheon and at Aviation Week's Laureates Gala in Washington, D.C.
