Dynamic Energy Awarded One-Third of MA SMART Program's RFP
WAYNE, Pa., March 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In late 2017, the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) held a competitive procurement for the upcoming Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target (SMART) Program. DOER released the results in January, and Dynamic Energy Solutions, LLC was awarded 17 MW AC of the total 53 MW AC awarded across the Commonwealth. Dynamic Energy is a developer, EPC contractor, and owner-operator of commercial and institutional (C&I) and large ground-mounted solar projects headquartered in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Dynamic Energy's success will help the DOER's and Governor Baker's administration's nation-leading clean energy efforts. The projects will consist of more than 70,000 solar panels combined, and will generate more than 30,000,000 kWh of electricity each year. That is enough power to offset 23,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide, the equivalent to powering 2,500 Massachusetts homes or removing 4,950 cars from the road each year.
With the official opening of the SMART program expected in Summer 2018, Dynamic Energy has partnered with many local businesses and landowners and is developing a significant pipeline of rooftop and ground-mounted projects across the Commonwealth. These projects are expected to follow on Dynamic's SMART Block 1 RFP success and qualify for the program soon after it formally opens.
