Ericsson takes network management to the cloud for US operators

PLANO, Texas, March 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) is working with regional operators in the United States to move network management to the cloud, allowing them to remain competitive while protecting and growing their profitability. Through Network Management as a Service, Ericsson is supporting these operators in their journeys to virtualization, software-defined networking and, potentially, 5G network transformation.
The US operators to date that have chosen the solution are:

Ericsson Network Management as a Service is offered from the Ericsson private telco cloud and manages performance, fault and configuration for physical and virtual functions across multiple radio technologies, core and IP. It exposes them in a unified manner to an operator's existing operational support ecosystems.
Operators that move network management to this service model realize the benefits of Ericsson's traditional Network Manager solution, such as high capacity, superior network performance, accelerated time to market and operations efficiency.
