Getting an electric vehicle just became a more affordable proposition for EV shoppers in the San Fernando Valley with a new promotion for the electrified BMW i3 and i3s at Pacific BMW in Glendale. Southern California Edison (SCE) is offering a $10,000 discount for the purchase of a new BMW i3 or i3 for SCE residential customers and employees.
The BMW i3 is an electrified subcompact that boasts a sleek look, high-level efficiency, excellent driving dynamics and a wide array of advanced technologies and premium features. The BMW eDrive in the BMW i3 enables drivers to enjoy emissions-free mobility with instantaneous power delivery, efficient use of energy and an optimized range for everyday practicality. For a sportier driving experience, EV shoppers can get the BMW i3s, which delivers an output of 184 horsepower and a 0-60 time of 6.8 seconds. Also, a two-cylinder gasoline engine Range Extender is available for all BMW i3 models.
The $10,000 discount promotion is applicable for all current model-year BMW i3 and i3s vehicles. This discount is in addition to the federal EV tax credit up to $7,500, any applicable California clean vehicle rebates and SCE's $450 Clean Fuel Reward offer. Also, SCE has different rate options to help customers charge their vehicle at home, including special rates offering lower costs for charging off-peak or at night, as well as an EV Rate Assistant tool for helping electric vehicle customers to find the best rate.
