LafargeHolcim Appoints Jamie Gentoso as New CEO of US Cement

Today, LafargeHolcim in the United States announced the appointment of Jamie M. Gentoso as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of US Cement operations. Ms. Gentoso, a professional engineer, brings significant experience in the construction materials industry to help lead the organization through the next phase of growth.

“Jamie has a proven track record in this industry, and her deep-seeded expertise and strong focus on the customer will be valued contributions to LafargeHolcim in the US,” said René Thibault, LafargeHolcim Group Executive Committee Member and Region Head, North America. “Having started her career at Holcim, we know she will bring strong leadership to the organization, and drive continued growth and success across the Cement business.”

Ms. Gentoso joins LafargeHolcim from Construction Specialties, an architectural building products manufacturer, where she held the position of vice president of Sales and Marketing and prior to this, she was senior vice president of Concrete at Sika Corporation US. She began her career at Holcim as a technical service engineer and Architectural and Engineering market manager, with a focus on specialty cements, portland cement, slag cement and fly ash.

Ms. Gentoso received her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, also from the University of Michigan. She has sat on the Board of Directors for several industry organizations and intends to continue to her involvement.

Ms. Gentoso succeeds John Stull, who was recently appointed CEO of Holcim Philippines.
