WordSouth's Magazine Work Earns National TeleChoice Award for Clients

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 6, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- For the fourth time in five years, one of WordSouth's Regional Telco Magazine editions was honored with a TeleChoice Award at the annual PR & Marketing Conference for NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association.

The WCTEL Connection, produced by WordSouth and published by WCTEL, received the distinction as "Best Customer Newsletter" in its category. Winners were announced during a ceremony April 30 in Nashville.

"We're proud of this TeleChoice Award because of what it means for our clients," said WordSouth's CEO and founder Stephen V. Smith. "The Regional Telco Magazine is a powerful tool for them to engage with their customers, and it has become the industry's preeminent tool for helping them tell their story."

According to NTCA, entries were judged on innovative strategies, design, writing, creativity and other elements specific to each category. The awards program is open to each of the more than 800 telcos who are members of NTCA and "honors excellence in independent telco public relations and marketing."

"The marketing efforts of NTCA member companies continue to play a critical role in educating and raising awareness of communications technologies, services, initiatives and issues that impact the vitality of rural communities and our nation," said NTCA Chief Executive Officer Shirley Bloomfield.
