RUAG wins integration project for the Swiss Armed Forces

RUAG has been awarded a project by the Swiss Federal Office for Defence Procurement (armasuisse) to develop the latest generation of disinfection and sterilisation systems and then to integrate them into mobile containers. The project encompasses a total of 14 systems. RUAG will commence work in the third quarter of 2018 and will deliver all systems by 2022. The containers will be used by the medical corps of the Swiss Armed Forces.

RUAG has been awarded another major project by armasuisse. As part of the “Latest-generation mobile disinfection and sterilisation systems” project, RUAG will be the prime contractor and, will develop the systems and then integrate them into containers for mobile deployment.

Besides developing and integrating the systems, RUAG will also be responsible for testing and qualification. By 2022, all 14 systems (7 disinfection systems and 7 sterilisation systems) will be completed and delivered. The systems will be used by the medical corps of the Swiss Armed Forces and will ensure their ability to disinfect and sterilise in all situations.

The bid from RUAG was attractive to the client in terms of service, quality, life cycle costs and schedule. In addition, RUAG will work with two specific partners – one for medical systems and one for container systems – allowing it to meet the client’s requirements in full.
