Perspecta to Support $49 Million National Background Investigation Services Program with the U.S. Department of Defense

CHANTILLY, Va., Aug. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Perspecta Inc. (NYSE: PRSP), a leading U.S. government services provider, announced today that its subsidiary, Enterprise Services LLC, has been awarded an agreement to support the Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) Investigation Management program. The award, which represents new work for the company has a value of $49 million. Work on the program began in June and will conclude after 18 months.

The award was made possible via a prototype project sub-agreement through an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) with Consortium Management Group (CMG) on behalf of Consortium for Command, Control and Communications in Cyberspace (C5).

On the agreement, Perspecta will deliver a government-wide information technology system that will support suitability, security and credentialing (SSC) investigations for all federal employees. The standardized investigative platform will be scalable, highly configurable and will integrate multiple systems and agencies. Designed to improve the investigative process with a streamlined case management system, the platform will provide enhanced visibility into investigative data and give field investigators a robust suite of collaboration and investigative tools to support their mission.

"Determining an individual's trustworthiness to have access to U.S. government facilities, information systems and data is one of the key focus areas of Perspecta's analytics program," said Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Perspecta. "That is why we have brought together the best and brightest team of industry experts in case and content management, national security, clearance processing and data analytics to support this critical DISA program, and provide our government customers with the highest degree of assurance and security."

Perspecta is the nation's largest provider of background investigative services and offers a full suite of investigative services to help government organizations identity, investigate and mitigate risk. To deliver the NBIS program, Perspecta has partnered with Accenture Federal Services, Pegasystems, Next Tier Concepts, Torch Research and Computer Associates.
