CIO and VP of IT of Micron Technology Will Be Opening Keynote Speaker at Idaho IT Symposium

BOISE, Idaho, Aug. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The 9th Annual Idaho IT Symposium is Returning to Boise State University (Student Union Building) on October 9th, 2018.

The Idaho IT Symposium is the region's premier event for IT leaders to network, educate and collaborate. As technology continues to play an ever-increasing role in the success or failure of every company, face to face events have become even more important. This event allows the region's IT executives the opportunity to discuss common professional issues, technology issues and how emerging technologies have the potential to impact their organization.

Trevor Schulze, CIO Micron Technology will start the day with his keynote titled, "Modernizing IT for Industry 4.0". The latest industrial revolution is accelerating, and technology is evolving to keep pace. For IT, that means embracing new ways of working, managing a more nuanced and forward-looking talent strategy, and staying ahead of disruptive technologies. By attending his presentation you will learn how he is future proofing his organization and enabling the smart factories of the future.

At lunch, Harry Campbell, Author & CEO, will lead an engaging presentation entitled, "Get Real Culture". Harry feels that in order to create sustained success for a business you must get the culture right. This enables you to be more productive, attract better people, leads to higher retention of your employees...and ultimately produces better results.

The day will conclude with Retired FBI Cyber Supervisory Special Agent, Holly Hubert. Executives face extraordinary challenges - sophisticated nation-state attacks, shortage of cyber-security skills, talent retention, applying organizational risk tolerance, and even insider threats. In her keynote presentation, Hubert takes on these issues and more.

In addition to our amazing lineup of keynote speakers, there will be 9 interactive breakout sessions and panels available throughout the day allowing you and your team members the ability to tailor your day to your needs.

This year, 100% of each paid registration will go to this year's selected charity, Y-Stem & Chess located in Boise. This wonderful organization focuses on empowering underserved youth by providing free classes in Math, Coding, and Chess.
