Projector Reviews Releases 2018 Best Home Theater Projectors Report

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Sept. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Football season is upon us, and with it, projector buying season for sports fans and home theater aficionados. ProjectorReviews.com has just published their Best Home Theater Projectors Report, which details a comprehensive list of the top home theater and home entertainment projectors for 2018. This year's report features projectors at a variety of price levels, with winners to fit every budget.

Over the last year, Projector Reviews has written in-depth reviews of the newest projectors, testing each one extensively for performance. In this year's report, all 36 of the home entertainment and home theater projectors to pass through Projector Reviews' door were evaluated and positioned against each other - what's left is the best of the best, with commentary on which projectors are most suitable for dedicated home theaters, living rooms, media rooms, and even bright rooms.

This year, Projector Reviews gave out their annual "Best In Class" Awards to the best value and best performing projectors in the following "Classes":

Under $1000 Class - These are projectors that are typically at home in living room and media room environments, and are generally classified as "home entertainment."

$1000-$2500 Class - These projectors more geared toward the home theater market, with some exceptions (such as this year's bright room winner).

$2500-$5000 Class - This Class contains some of the more "serious" home theater projectors, and are best used in a dedicated home theater or "cave."

$5000-$25,000 Class - This Class is home to the most high-end projectors, reserved for those projector fans who value performance above all else.

The report also discloses information on all the projectors that were considered in this report, but did not merit an award.

A taste of the winners:

Best Performance Home Theater - Under $1000 Class: BenQ HT3050
Best Value 4K Capable Home Theater - $1000-$2500 Class: Optoma UHD50
Most Innovative: Smart Projector - $2500-5000 Class: LG HU80KA
