SENSIT Technologies CEO Scoops Prestigious Business Worldwide Magazine Award

LONDON, September 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --

Scott Kleppe of SENSIT Technologies has gained global recognition in the Business Worldwide Magazine (BWM) 2018 CEO Awards.

The awards seek to identify and honour the most respected C level executives from around the world, from a variety of sectors. Unlike other business awards, the focus is on the personalities at the helm of organisations; the people that make corporations tick and drive success. The intention is to give worthy individuals the recognition they deserve, using their examples to inspire others to achieve similar successes. Scott Kleppe was the outright winner in his category, being named 'Most Innovative CEO | Natural Gas Industry'.

Based in Valparaiso, Indiana, SENSIT Technologies designs, manufactures and services a complete line of gas leak detection instruments, combustible gas indicators and confined space monitors. The aim of all the company's products is to protect life, property and the environment through safe and fast detection of gas leaks.

Kleppe's successful career with SENSIT was not necessarily the one he had mapped out. His parents, John and Nancy Kleppe, formed the company (originally called J and N Enterprises) in 1980, fulfilling a lifelong ambition to run a successful company. At the time their son had just completed his college studies and was embarking on his own career, but his father persuaded him to join the family business in 1984. Following the ill health and subsequent death of his father Kleppe proudly took the helm, and since 1999 has overseen the company's rapid growth.

Today the company employs over 100 people and supplies a global market of over 40 countries with the very latest in hazardous gas detection technologies. Like his parents before him, Kleppe's approach is an innovative one, and the company is constantly developing new and exciting technologies. SENSIT offers customers a new generation of leak detectors and continues to introduce new products to a range of clients from the HVAC market to the natural gas industry (from wellhead to burner tip).

Kleppe puts the company's success down to a number of factors. First, there is a clear commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, with all staff working towards one clear goal - to keep people and buildings safe. The dedicated team are all rewarded for their hard work - Kleppe believes in developing and supporting his employees and invests heavily in education and training opportunities. SENSIT's product range is another key to their success and is tailored to meet the specific needs of a huge range of customers all the way up to billion-dollar multi-nationals. Finally, it's about the company's 'go to market' strategy; "We have a network of sales staff, product management, representatives and distributors. Basically, the right people with the right skill set," he told BWM.

SENSIT has impressive plans for the future which continue to meet the demands of a complex and challenging industry. An aging infrastructure, workforce development, environmental concerns and regulatory demands are all challenges the company is finding new ways to solve, and Kleppe is actively pursuing like minded companies to work with on new projects.
