Holiday Automotive donates over $6,000 to local school program with help of Ford

FOND DU LAC, Wis., Sept. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Holiday Automotive was proud to participate in Ford's Drive 4 UR School program once again this year as part of the dealership's ongoing Give Where You Live initiative. Holiday Automotive has participated in this program numerous times. This year, the dealership chose the Fond du Lac STEM Institute to benefit from the money raised.

Holiday Automotive ran its Drive 4 UR School event in May at Moraine Park Technical College. For every test drive taken, Ford donated $20 to the local school program of the dealership's choice. Through Holiday Automotive's efforts, it was able to host hundreds of test drives. In all, Ford donated $6,740 to the cause.

In late August, Holiday Automotive was able to present the check from Ford to the Fond du Lac STEM Institute at its Holiday Ford location. Faculty, staff, students and parents were in attendance to accept the check on behalf of the institute.

The Fond du Lac STEM Institute is open to children in grades six through eleven. It provides a project-based learning environment where students can focus on science, technology, engineering and math. With its non-traditional setting, the institute can emphasize innovation while still providing a non-profit and tuition-free public school option that is still accountable to all state and federal standards.
