CPI Announces SWD Urethane as a Finalist for the 2018 Polyurethanes Innovation Award

MESA, Ariz., Sept. 08, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SWD Urethane, the manufacturer of the groundbreaking Quik-Shield 108YM Ultra-Low Density spray foam, has been selected as a finalist for the Center for Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) Polyurethanes Innovation Award.

Quik-Shield 108YM, affectionately nicknamed the "Yield Monster", is reason for SWD Urethane's status as a finalist. This innovative product is the first open-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation to achieve an Ultra-Low density of 0.36 pounds per cubic foot (pcf), while still maintaining an R Value of 3.7 at 1". This delivers up to 39% greater yields, which provides spray foam contractors with the lowest cost installed and enables them to win more bids. Yield Monster has features not offered by other products including 1-hour reentry at natural ventilation and long range application. Yield Monster is also made with 100% non-emissive catalyst and is GREENGUARD Gold certified.

Each year, CPI recognizes achievements in the polyurethane industry over the previous 12 months with the prestigious Polyurethanes Innovation Award. This October, the winner will be announced at the Polyurethanes Technical Conference in Atlanta, GA.

Attendees at the conference will have a chance to vote for the winner of the award at the Opening Session on October 1st. Whichever contestant receives the most votes will have 20 points added to their score given to them by the panel of judges.
