The Industrial Internet Consortium Announces Results of Steering Committee Elections

NEEDHAM, Mass., Sept. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Industrial Internet Consortium® (IIC(TM)), the world's leading organization transforming business and society by accelerating the adoption of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), today announced the results of its Steering Committee officer election.

Newly re-elected Steering Committee officers who will serve another two-year term are:

    --  Stan Schneider, CEO of Real-Time Innovations (RTI)
    --  Jacques Durand, Director of Standards and Engineering, Fujitsu North
        America, Inc.

Dr. Schneider, CEO of RTI, will represent IIC small company members as the small industry representative on the Steering Committee and serves as Vice Chair of the Steering Committee, a post he was elected to earlier this year. RTI has been a member of IIC since its first year and heavily engaged. RTI is a co-lead on three IIC testbeds, several RTI employees serve as a chair on working groups and have co-authored and contributed to IIC foundational documents and whitepapers.

Mr. Durand, director of standards and engineering at Fujitsu North America will represent IIC large company members as the large industry representative on the Steering Committee. He has been a member of IIC since its first year and has been an active participant, serving as chair of the business strategy and solutions lifecycle (BSSL) WG, chair of the Knowledge Management Task Force, and IIC liaison officer to the Industry Value Chain Initiative in Japan.
