The Cohen Veterans Care Summit to Bring Together Leaders in Clinical Practice and Science to Advance Mental and Brain Health for America's Veterans

WASHINGTON, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cohen Veterans Bioscience and the Cohen Veterans Network will jointly host the 3rd annual Cohen Veterans Care Summit on Wednesday and Thursday, October 10 and 11 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of healthcare leaders and professionals, veterans and other community members are expected to attend.

Cohen Veterans Bioscience (CVB) and the Cohen Veterans Network (CVN) are leading national nonprofit organizations funded by philanthropist Steven A. Cohen to advance the state of brain health and mental health for America's post 9/11 veterans, including an emphasis on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) care. This year's theme is "Upcycle," and focuses on the future of Learning Mental Health Systems as well as the CVB-CVN model for continuous growth in the field of mental health treatment and research.

The two-day Summit will highlight advancements in bioscience, clinical treatment, and precision medicine, while world-renowned brain health and clinical experts will share the state-of-the-art in biomarkers, diagnostics, translational models, therapies, genetics, biosensors and mobile health for PTSD and TBI. Attendees will be able to imagine the future of mental and brain health care with world-renowned scientists, clinicians and policy makers and collaborate in interactive sessions and networking breaks.

An array of speakers will focus on topics including the military needs for the future of mental and brain health, the current state and future of mental healthcare access, tools of change and the future of innovation.
