Mercury Systems Receives $5.0M Order for Rugged Naval Radar Processing Subsystems

Mercury Systems, Inc announced it received a $5 million order from a leading defense prime contractor for rugged, embedded processing subsystems to perform advanced, shipboard radar processing. The order was booked in the Company’s fiscal 2018 fourth quarter and is expected to be shipped over the next several quarters.

Mercury’s embedded processing building blocks leverage the best commercial compute capability making them ideal for massive data stream processing applications like modern radars. These building blocks enable radar-processing solutions to be quickly configured and scaled across platforms and form-factors for deployment as custom and fully open systems architecture solutions for land, air and sea-based radar applications.

“The radar processing capabilities we supply our long-term defense prime contractor partner have become a pivotal component in this critical franchise,” said Joe Plunkett, Mercury’s Senior Director and General Manager for Sensor Processing Solutions. “The capability that these AESA processing systems delivers is proving to be indispensable as the oceans become more contested by near-peer adversaries.”
