Arena Marble & Granite Founder Addresses Recent Tax Tariff Changes

NEWBURY PARK, Calif., Nov. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Newbury Park-based Arena Marble & Granite has addressed the newly finalized 10% tariff duty increase on products and orders sourced from vendor partners in China. Arena and their team have quickly been making changes to adjust to newly increased production costs for this Chinese imported products, with all efforts adjusting to keep consumer pricing the same. With trade negotiations between China and the United States currently in progress, Arena wants to ensure pricing on all product and custom orders will remain consistent through the end of 2018.

Since 2002, company founder Reza Khoylou has prided himself on providing Arena's customers with the best quality service, competitive pricing and being transparent in all aspects of business to maintain their strong reputation. Although Arena Marble & Granite respects the government effort to improve international trade and return jobs to American soil, Arena is "incredibly disappointed with the Quartz tariff increase that will obviously have a large impact on countless companies and the vendors/customers that utilize specific Quartz products," said Khoylou. With the Department of Commerce's September 24th (Section 301) 10 percent increase, the preliminary decision on Counter Vailing Duties (CVD) of 34.38 percent, and an additional 25 percent increase planned for January 1, 2019, many changes can be expected.

Some examples of Arena sold Quartz material imported from China is Prefabricated Quartz products, which is extremely popular with homeowners, homebuilders, interior consultants and other real estate industry professionals. Arena notes that with the CVD rate of 34.48 percent as of October 2018, and high likelihood of Anti Dumping Tax going in effect by mid November 2018, price increases and inventory shortages of Chinese-sourced Quartz products will be immanent.

Customers and vendor partners of Arena Marble & Granite are encouraged to speak with their representative about upcoming custom orders and questions to properly plan for 2019 projects. For more information, please visit http://www.arenamarble.com/contact-us.html.

"Arena Marble & Granite is committed to continuously providing its valuable customers excellent value and services even when it encounters these extraordinary circumstances. Currently we are working on sourcing all of our Quartz products from other countries in order to reduce the cost and minimize the price increase for our customers. New developments on tariff imposing will be updated to our customers and partners immediately when any new information is available," concluded Khoylou.
