Former President of IKEA and Top Investor Join BurnAlong Board
BALTIMORE, Nov. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The former President of IKEA North America and Global Head of HR of IKEA, Pernille Spiers Lopez, and the Founding Partner, Boulder Ventures, and Chairman of Private Client Resources, Josh Fidler, have joined the Board of BurnAlong - the leading health and wellness video and social motivation platform - as part of the company's Seed Round of financing.
During her tenure as President of IKEA North America (2001-2009), Ms. Lopez led the fastest expansion ever within IKEA, from a small 'niche' retailer with 15 stores to a nationally recognized 'major player' with 38 stores. As Global HR Manager for the IKEA Group and its 135,000 employees, Ms. Lopez developed and implemented a new business focused HR Strategy empowering the organization, its leaders and co-workers to grow business and people together.
Today Ms. Lopez sits on the Boards of Meijer Corporation, ECCO USA, HomeBoy Industries, and Save The Children U.S. and International. She is the author of "Design Your Life: Former IKEA Executive Shares Her Tools for Personal Success."
