Leviticus Cardio Announces Success of Groundbreaking Six Month Chronic Animal Study
PETAH TIKVA, Israel, Dec. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Leviticus Cardio, inventors of the versatile transcutaneous Coplanar Energy Transfer (CET) system used with implanted left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), announces the successful completion of a 180-day preclinical chronic animal study to evaluate its CET technology in combination with a commercial heart pump.
Leviticus' CET technology compliments a LVAD made by Jarvik Heart Inc. which is equipped with a post auricular pedestal, acting together as a hybrid system for the subject.
The ongoing trial is being conducted at a renowned animal facility operated by the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
This comes as Leviticus has raised additional funds to proceed with the first in human (FIH) trial.
