Centinel Spine began operations in 2008 through the merger-acquisition of two pioneering medical device companies--Raymedica, LLC and Surgicraft, LTD. Founded in 1990, Raymedica became the recognized leader in nucleus replacement and developed technologies that helped thousands of patients restore function. UK-based Surgicraft commenced spine-focused operations in 1982 and launched the revolutionary Hartshill Horseshoe product in 1988--the first Stand-Alone/No Profile(®) anterior lumbar interbody fusion device in the world.
