RealSelf Ranks the "Most Worth It" Surgical and Nonsurgical Aesthetic Procedures Based on Consumers' Worth It Ratings
SEATTLE, Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- RealSelf, the leading online resource to learn about cosmetic treatments and connect with medical aesthetic doctors, today unveiled the 2019 Worth It Ranking, a comprehensive list that ranks the Worth It Ratings(1) of more than 140 surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures and brands. The RealSelf Worth It Rating is a proprietary consumer satisfaction score based on reviews from consumers on RealSelf who, after undergoing a treatment, rated it as "Worth It" or "Not Worth It."
In addition to the full ranking, RealSelf announced the treatments designated as the "Most Worth It" procedures for 2019. The top-ranked surgical procedure was breast implant removal with a 99 percent Worth It Rating, while diVa Vaginal Therapy, a laser used to address changes in vaginal health often caused by childbirth and menopause, ranked highest for nonsurgical treatments with a 100 percent Worth It Rating.

Procedures for the Breasts Yield High Satisfaction Ratings
While breast implant removal, which can address personal concerns like dissatisfaction with size to health issues such as implant malfunction, was the highest-ranked surgical procedure overall, consumer satisfaction with procedures involving breast implants remains high. Of the 11 different breast procedures that earned the Most Worth It designation in 2019, roughly half involve implants.

Vaginal rejuvenation treatments MonaLisa Touch (94 percent Worth It Rating) and ThermiVa (94 percent Worth It Rating) also made the list. Consumers also reported high satisfaction with injectable fillers, with six different brands making the nonsurgical treatment list: Restylane Lyft (99 percent Worth It Rating), Volbella (96 percent Worth It Rating), Bellafill (95 percent Worth It Rating), Restylane Defyne (94 percent Worth It Rating), Juvederm (93 percent Worth It Rating), and Restylane (92 percent Worth It Rating).

Methodology
To be included in the 2019 Worth It Ranking, treatments must have received 20 or more "Worth It" or "Not Worth It" review ratings between Jan 1-Dec 31 2018 (reviews rated as "Not Sure" are excluded). To be recognized as a Most Worth It procedure in the surgical category, treatments must have received 100 or more "Worth It" or "Not Worth It" ratings between Jan. 1-Dec. 31 2018, while treatments in the nonsurgical category must have received a minimum of 30 eligible ratings. Ratings of "Not Sure" are excluded. To be recognized in either category, a procedure must have a cumulative Worth It Rating of 90% or higher.
