Cubic Implements Content Management System for Spokane International Airport

Cubic Corporation today announced its Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS) business division has successfully implemented the roll-out of a content management system (CMS) for Spokane (WA) International Airport by updating the airport’s NextBus monitors with real-time passenger information, making journeys more efficient for travelers. Spokane International Airport serves as Cubic’s CMS test bed where NextBus incorporates maps, flight departure times, predicted arrival times and weather information to provide real-time wait times for passengers utilizing shuttles to the airport’s economy parking lots.

“We take pride in helping to ensure passenger journeys are safe, efficient and hassle-free,” said Matt Cole, president of CTS. “We’re thrilled to work with Spokane International Airport to deliver an innovative content management system and look forward to continuing our partnership and meet the needs of travelers and operators.”

“We continually seek ways to enhance the customer experience for Spokane International Airport passengers,” said Larry Krauter, chief executive officer, Spokane International Airport. “NextBus allows us the opportunity to reduce uncertainty by providing an accurate timetable for shuttle availability at both terminal pickup locations as well as at shelters in both economy parking lots.”

Cubic’s CMS is a fully-supported, flexible system featuring a best-in-class user interface (UI) design to serve travelers. With Cubic’s expertise delivering real-time passenger information and agency operations management services through its NextBus solution, the CMS links to APIs for NextBus to deliver accurate data feeds at a low cost.

With the success of the Spokane International Airport test bed, Cubic intends to offer a full system of CMS hardware for agencies in the near future.
