The winners were announced on Thursday, September 6, in San Diego, CA during the 2018 CEDIA Expo.
When a Rhode Island homeowner's system was failing due to a lightning strike, C&T devised an elegant solution to the problem. The home's original 1950s GE low-voltage lighting control system was operating off of the last remaining processor of its kind when the lightning strike occurred. The timely solution was to introduce a control system that felt familiar, but provided an unmatched experience in control, ability and aesthetics.
The new Lutron HomeWorks QS system not only allowed the homeowner to resume the familiarity of a lighting control system, but it also allowed for advanced programming capabilities and the integration of Sonos, Sivoia QS shades, pool house controls, and a Luxor landscape lighting system. By including cycle dimming, sequential programming and 70 Palladiom keypads, the system felt sophisticated yet simple to use.
