Mediacurrent Named In The Top 25 Among The Best Companies To Work For In Atlanta

ATLANTA, March 04, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Mediacurrent, a leading digital agency specializing in highly impactful Drupal websites, has been awarded the #25 spot in the small company division of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's 2019 Top Workplaces awards.

This annual honor recognizes the top 150 companies to work for in Atlanta through an anonymous employee survey that measures several aspects of workplace culture, including benefits, career development, and employee engagement. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.

"This award is such an honor because it involved direct validation and feedback from our team," said Dave Terry, co-founder of Mediacurrent. "From early on, we have always believed that our only competitive and sustainable advantage is our culture. We are continuing to forge ahead with new and innovative ways to improve our workplace experience."

Outside of office headquarters in metro-Atlanta, 90 percent of the Mediacurrent workforce is completely remote. Maintaining a strong company culture helps remote employees to feel like a team. Some of the ways they promote and build our culture are through weekly team knowledge shares, lunch and learns and virtual/in-person meetups. Yearly stipends for technology purchases and continuing education give Mediacurrent employees the right tools and knowledge for career growth while a 9/80 scheduling option offers flexibility.

"Winning the Top Workplaces Award is a testament to the thriving culture our entire team has helped build. Since 2007, we've worked tirelessly to create an organization where our team feels valued, are challenged, and experience an incomparable sense of camaraderie." said Paul Chason. "We continue to pursue a philosophy of consistently evolving our organization to be a highly desirable place for team members to grow their careers."

Mediacurrent has grown quickly since 2007, when Paul Chason and Dave Terry (two lifelong friends who have known each other since elementary school) noticed a void in the marketplace for digital agencies that could assist organizations with adopting an open source software based web strategy. In 2012, Mediacurrent's team grew by 50 percent, reaching 28 staff members. Today, they have a team of 85 talented developers, strategists, and designers specializing in open source software. They work with leading organizations such as The Weather Channel, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Georgia Tech, Olympus, and Habitat for Humanity.

Keeping the momentum strong after being announced to the 2019 Top Workplaces, Mediacurrent is hiring several positions to join their growing team. They have several open positions that can be accessed on their career page.
