Edgenuity Partners with Institute for Teaching and Leading to Study Best Practices in Transforming the K-12 Classroom with Technology

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Edgenuity, a leading provider of online curriculum and instructional services for the K-12 market, has announced a partnership with the Institute for Teaching and Leading (i4tl). i4tl partners with educators and organizations across the personalized learning landscape, including EdSurge and the Digital Learning Collaborative, to transform teaching, leading, and learning through innovative education models.

As part of this partnership, i4tl studied schools that are implementing digital curriculum and content in personalized learning environments. The report, The Intersection of Personalization, Technology, and Leadership: Research into Customized Learning, identifies best practices for the design, implementation and continuous improvement of digital learning models through case studies of schools at various levels of implementation.

"Our goal is to create something useful and actionable for schools and districts looking to implement personalized learning," said Elizabeth LeBlanc, co-founder and CEO of the Institute for Teaching and Leading. "Our research looks at how schools and districts across the country are bringing together the principles of personalization, technology integration, and whole child learning to create customized learning models that not only vary the path and pace for learning, but reimagine other elements of K-12 education, such as class and grading schedules."

"Edgenuity is excited to collaborate with i4tl on this study," said Sari Factor, CEO of Edgenuity. "Our digital curriculum solutions are used by educators in innovative ways to personalize instruction. Through this research and our i4tl partnership, we will be better able to serve the schools, districts, educators, and students we interact with every day."

The study also explores the experiences of students, parents, teachers, and administrators across a variety of learning environments to understand perspectives through the lens of each stakeholder group. The i4tl and Edgenuity partnership reflects the organizations' shared philosophies of the importance of broad ecosystem support in transforming the K-12 classroom.

"i4tl strives to create value for schools and districts through our research into customized learning," added fellow i4tl co-founder Dr. Chris Harrington, the organization's current Director of Strategic Development. "This study - and this partnership with Edgenuity - is an excellent chance for us to gain insights and in a unique, boots-on-the-ground way put action behind our research."

Following publication, Edgenuity and i4tl will present their findings through a series of webinars, workshop sessions and presentations at conferences and symposia throughout the year.
