Lessonly Kicks It Old-School, Announces New Indianapolis Headquarters

INDIANAPOLIS, March 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Lessonly, the leader in online training software, announced today that the company will move into new corporate offices at 1129 East 16th Street near Indianapolis' Monon Trail in order to house its rapidly growing workforce. Construction for Lessonly's new location commenced in early February and is expected to be complete in June of 2019. The new headquarters will continue a Lessonly tradition of housing the company in former school buildings, adding a layer of history to Lessonly's mission around learning and training.

Lessonly's new location is part of a larger redevelopment around 16th Street & the Monon Trail, including approximately 190 high-end apartments planned south of the location. The newly renovated headquarters was intentionally designed to underscore Lessonly's passion for collaboration and innovation in the workplace.

"This move is a significant milestone for us as we continue to grow," said Max Yoder, CEO and co-founder of Lessonly. "Lessonly is all about learning and practice, which is why we chose this former schoolhouse as a place to inspire our team and customers. We're proud of our strong roots here in Indianapolis and are excited about this next chapter in our new home."

Lessonly's new headquarters project has involved the restoration of the building's façade with new windows, a new roof and mechanical systems, and a full interior renovation by DELV Design. The building was originally built in 1920 by Indianapolis Public Schools for maintenance operations, including musical instrument repair and furniture fabrication. It was designed by Donald Graham, who notably designed the Stutz automobile factory downtown.

"We couldn't be more excited to partner with Lessonly in anchoring this beautiful redevelopment in downtown Indianapolis," said Tony Knoble, Co-Founder of TWG Development. "Forward-looking companies like Lessonly are the reason we're so excited to shape real estate for the next generation of economic growth in Indianapolis."
