The State Water Plan is one of three sections of DEP’s Division of Planning and Conservation and is responsible for maintaining and updating the plan, assessing existing and future water resource demands and needs within the commonwealth and coordinating related plans and policies with local, state and federal agencies. The State Water Plan Section manages the Commonwealth Water Use Data System and is responsible for administration of the water use registrations and reporting program.

“I am pleased to have Aqua Pennsylvania representation on this committee and Pat is the perfect candidate,” said President Marc Lucca. “As director of operations, Pat is responsible for our water and wastewater operations across 27 counties of our Greater Pennsylvania service area that encompass the northeast, central and western areas of the state. He’s been managing our operations in these areas for five years and spent the previous eight years managing our day-to-day operations in Northeast and Central Pennsylvania. His familiarity with the water resources in these areas of the state enable him to bring great knowledge to the committee.”

Burke has a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Penn State University and a Master of Business Administration from Bloomsburg University, where he achieved Beta Gamma Sigma honors. Burke is a registered professional civil engineer in Pennsylvania, a Class A licensed water operator, and an ASSE certified backflow prevention administrator.
