Pro Football Retired Players Association To Host eSports Tournament

WASHINGTON, March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Pro Football Retired Players Association (PFRPA), a retired NFL players association chaired by sports and NFL icon Jim Brown, is excited to host its first Gridiron Gaming tournament at the Mavs Gaming Center in Dallas on Saturday, June 22, 2019. The event will offer an opportunity for fans to engage with some of their favorite retired NFL players. Gridiron Gaming will mark PFRPA's entrance into eSports.

This PFRPA Media tournament will create an interactive experience for traditional sports fans and eSports fans alike. As a family-friendly event, the Gridiron Gaming tournament will provide attendees an opportunity seldomly possible. They may have a chance to play against some of their NFL heroes, all under the roof of one of the premier eSports facilities in the nation.

The Mavs Gaming Center is a 13,000-square foot state-of-the-art gaming facility just east of downtown Dallas. It features a 4,800-square foot gaming arena, including a 36-foot stage, with 5v5 gaming desks and a 35-foot gaming screen. It also houses the Mavs Gaming Team, which is part of the NBA 2K League that recently finished its inaugural season.
