Infotel Announces Sponsorship of IBM Systems Tech University Atlanta Conference, April 29 - May 3, 2019

TAMPA, Fla., April 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Infotel a leading global software vendor of data performance and optimization solutions for z/OS, today announced its sponsorship of the 2019 IBM Systems Technical University Atlanta Conference together with partner company zCost Management of Paris, France. The conference, taking place from April 29 through May 3, is designed for IT professionals to learn about IBM systems and solutions from the most distinguished leaders and educators in the field.

"We're excited to attend this conference and to help educate attendees on Db2 and z/OS cost optimization," said Carlos Almeida, business analyst at Tampa, Florida-based Infotel Corp. "Given today's shortage of mainframe professionals, conferences like these are incredibly important to keep the mainframe industry thriving with the latest education and technology advancements."

As one of the fastest growing technology hubs in the country, Atlanta will provide an excellent location for IBM professionals across the southeastern U.S. The conference, according to IBM's website, will include more than 700 technical sessions delivered by top IBM developers and experts. Infotel will attend the week-long event with zCost and give live demos of their mainframe software products, DB/IQ, and iDBA-Online, along with zCost's DINO Explorer from booth #46.

zCost's Director of Alliances Carlos Ramirez will give a talk titled "Is all that z/OS log data valuable?" Ramirez's session will focus on how to use massive amounts of data, what to do with it, and how to determine what is useful and what is not. The session will help those looking to gather data in real-time, filter for the useful bits of decision support and analyze it for improved cost efficiency.

The learning sessions throughout the week will focus on how to plan, architect, install, configure, migrate, operate and tune IBM infrastructures. The 700+ sessions available will span the three topics, IBM Power Systems; IBM Z and LinuxONE; and IBM Storage and SDI.

Software Demos From Booth #46

Infotel's live demos will focus on their software solutions designed to help optimize IBM systems' data management and application performance. Their products DB/IQ and iDBA work to automate SQL code quality assurance for IBM Db2 and automate Db2 maintenance schedules with artificial intelligence technology respectively. zCost Management will join Infotel's live demos with their DINO Explorer solution, a big-data oriented platform that gathers data from z/OS into a single distributed repository for strategic decision support.

"As solutions providers for IBM z/OS users, and z/OS users ourselves, we find TechU to be an invaluable experience for our team," said Almeida. "Throughout the conference, we will learn from mainframe professionals about their biggest obstacles and pain points, all while continuing to educate ourselves in a system that is ever evolving in highly complex environments. This knowledge is critical to providing our customers with the best possible solutions and support."

The IBM Systems Technical University Atlanta 2019 Conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency at 265 Peachtree St. NE in Atlanta, Georgia. More info about this event can be found here.
