Olympic Steel Announces Opening of Alabama Distribution Facility and Promotion of Hannah N. Price to General Manager

Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS), a leading national metals service center, announced the opening of a new Olympic Steel distribution facility in Hanceville, Alabama, and the promotion of Hannah N. Price to General Manager, Alabama Division.

The Birmingham area facility will support Olympic Steel’s Plate and Sheet product distribution for the greater Huntsville and Birmingham metropolitan areas. The new location will also increase Olympic Steel’s product availability and market share regionally, while reducing distribution-related costs for the Company’s current customer base.

To launch operations at the new facility and for its ongoing management, Hannah Price will serve as General Manager, Alabama Division, reporting directly to David Gea, Regional Vice President. Price began her career with Olympic Steel in 2014 as an Outside Sales Representative for the Company’s Atlanta division, and in 2016 she was promoted to Regional Sales Manager. Prior to joining Olympic Steel, Price held regional sales management and business development positions at various companies.

“Hannah’s sales and business development experience makes her the ideal candidate to lead our new Hanceville location to early success,” said John Mooney, President and Chief Operating Officer – Flat Rolled. “Her focus will be on expanding our position in the Alabama region, enhancing customer service and profitably growing market share for our Company.”

Price earned a Bachelor of Science degree in human environmental sciences from the University of Alabama and an Associate of Science degree from Calhoun Community College. Price is also a member of the Birmingham Chapter of Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI) and the Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI).
