USDM to Host Pre-Conference Workshop at the 2019 UDI Conference in Baltimore
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., May 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- USDM Life Sciences (USDM) announces that Jay Crowley, Vice President of UDI Solutions at USDM, will facilitate a pre-conference workshop on The Expanding and Evolving Global UDI Imperative at the 2019 UDI Conference in Baltimore on June 10. Additional facilitators include, Marti Velezis, UDI Practice Lead and UDI GUDID Architect at USDM, and Karen Conway, Vice President Healthcare Value at GHX. The three UDI experts will address how medical device manufacturers can develop sustainable structures to manage the multitude and magnitude of regulatory, commercial, and patient-safety information in this workshop.

Jay is a recognized expert in the area of UDI and held a variety of positions over his 26 years at the FDA, including developing the framework and authoring key requirements for the FDA's UDI system. Most recently Jay was the Senior Advisor for Patient Safety in the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health. His contributions to design control regulations to reduce the chance of human errors with medical devices, patient safety, and adverse event reporting are highly regarded.
