Authentically American Founder Expresses Support for American Workers, Believes Tariffs will Strengthen U.S. Manufacturing

While the tariff war between the US and China has generated warnings of dire consequences, including the possibility of a global recession, Authentically American® Founder and CEO Dean Wegner believes this leveling of the trade playing field with China ultimately will strengthen the US economy by expanding its manufacturing base and ensuring American workers have jobs and can provide for their families.

“In light of the national actions and discussions about tariffs on imported goods, Authentically American continues its strong support of the American worker and high-quality goods made in our country,” said Wegner, a West Point graduate, Army veteran and businessman.

“The changes in tariffs will affect the cost of foreign-made imported products, but the best response domestic companies and individuals can make is to view this as a unique opportunity to help US manufacturing rebound by buying products made in the USA.”

Wegner described Authentically American as a brand that celebrates patriotism, honors our American heroes, and believes in the American worker.

“We were celebrating the American worker by selling premium-branded merchandise exclusively made in the USA long before the increase in tariffs were enacted,” he noted.

Among the company’s investors are TV broadcaster and NASCAR Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip. Last year Waltrip and Wegner appeared on “Fox & Friends” to share the start-up’s story and its ambition to build an iconic American brand that is truly American made and sets the standard for “Made in USA” merchandise.

While organizationally branded merchandise for businesses, healthcare, schools, nonprofits, team sports, political campaigns, etc., comprises the largest part of Authentically American’s sales, consumers also can make individual purchases online.

Each item displays Authentically American’s vintage USA flag logo, which is available in a variety of colors.

Based in Nashville, Tenn., Authentically American donates 10% of its gross profits to charities that support veterans, first responders and their families. Its customers include businesses of all sizes, colleges, high schools, charities, healthcare, non-profits, sports leagues and political campaigns. The company also offers its own consumer-brand product offering. Everything, without exception, is Made in USA. Wegner also is host of “The Authentically American Podcast.” For more information visit www.authenticallyamerican.us.
