Infotel Corp. Announces New Releases of its Automation Software Products for IBM® Db2® at IDUG Charlotte, June 2-4.

TAMPA, Fla., May 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Infotel Corp., a leading global software vendor of data performance and optimization solutions for IBM® Db2® on z/OS, today announced its latest IBM Db2 performance products, DB/IQ and iDBA-Online, will be demonstrated, live at the IDUG 2019 Db2 Tech Conference from June 2-6 in Charlotte, N.C. Db2 expert Craig S. Mullins will also join Infotel at IDUG to give a presentation titled, "Improving Db2 Application Quality for Optimizing Performance and Controlling Costs" and consult with visitors in the Infotel booth #1 in the expo hall.

The latest product releases from Infotel Corp. are designed to improve app performance and optimize Db2 maintenance tasks, which in turn, reduce monthly costs on z/OS. DB/IQ is a SQL-for-Db2 code quality assurance software solution that automatically checks code and optimizes it before the Db2 app reaches production. For apps already in production, the solution can check and optimize the code without having to take the application out of production.

iDBA-Online is Infotel's latest software release that uses Artificial Intelligence to automate and optimize Db2 maintenance tasks for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Clients using the optimization solution are seeing as much as 10 percent savings on Db2 maintenance costs.

Infotel predicts that the 2019 North American IDUG Db2 Tech Conference will be the perfect time to unveil these latest products to the U.S. market, as the conference is centered around Db2 education and improving efficiency for the increasingly busy Db2 userbase.

"DBAs' and developers' workloads are expected to increase exponentially in the coming years, while budgets and staffing are predicted to stagnate or increase at only marginal rates," said Carlos Almeida, business analyst at Tampa, Fla.-based Infotel Corp. "The industry as a whole needs to adapt with solutions that have automation to address this resource deficit we're soon to face."

Infotel Corp. Speaking @ IDUG Charlotte, June 4th

Mullins' and Infotel's presentation will focus on cost-saving strategies for Db2 for z/OS and adopting technology and practices that improve efficiency within DevOps. The presentation will also cover how to improve Db2 app performance and availability; how Db2 code quality affects performance/EUX; how to avoid runaway MIPS consumption, and more.
