BOEING SPONSORS SAUDI AIRSHOW

Boeing Saudi Arabia has sponsored the first Saudi International Airshow, held at Thumamah Airport in Riyadh on March 12th-14th. The sponsorship was described as part of the company’s support for Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The cost was not disclosed.

The sponsorship is an affirmation of Boeing’s longterm relationship with the kingdom and underscores its partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 through a range of programs and local industry support, said Ahmed Jazzar, president of Boeing in Saudi Arabia, in Arab News.

In January 2019 Boeing signed an MoU with the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), the Saudi Industrial Investments Company (Dussur) and Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) to support the Saudi aerospace industry. In March 2018 Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) signed an agreement with Boeing to develop the local defence industry.
