Greg May Named HNTB Corporation Pennsylvania Office Leader

PHILADELPHIA, June 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Greg May, PE, LEED® AP, has been named HNTB Corporation's Pennsylvania office leader. A vice president, May has more than 20 years of client service, leadership, operations management and technical experience in planning, design and program and construction management for transportation infrastructure across the country.

As Pennsylvania office leader, his role includes responsibility for delivering technical excellence and innovative solutions that improve regional mobility, grow a talented and diverse workforce and develop industry leaders.

May leads more than 160 multidisciplinary transportation professionals in Philadelphia, King of Prussia, Allentown, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. The team delivers highway, bridge, toll, transit, rail, and aviation projects, program and construction management and other services to clients across the region. Clients include the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, The City of Philadelphia, Philadelphia International Airport, Delaware River Port Authority, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, Allegheny County and many others.

May has served in progressively responsible leadership positions in the transportation industry throughout his career. Previously, he served as an HNTB program manager leading planning, design and program management of major projects, such as SEPTA's $1.2B King of Prussia rail extension project.

A Pennsylvania native, May earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, graduating summa cum laude, from the University of New Haven. He also studied mechanical engineering at Villanova University and the University of Pittsburgh.

May is a member of several professional industry associations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Public Transportation Association, the Project Management Institute and others. In 2017, Mass Transit magazine named him one of its Top 40 Under 40.

HNTB is involved in some of the most significant transportation infrastructure projects in Pennsylvania including performing design and construction management for the Ben Franklin Bridge Port Authority Transit Corporation track rehabilitation project; preparing an environmental assessment for improvements to I-95 in Pennsylvania and New Jersey that included the Scudder Falls Bridge over the Delaware River; and serving as program management consultant for the 550-mile all-electronic tolling conversion for the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
