Following its Series A, Deepomatic Brings its Enterprise-Level Computer Vision Technology to the U.S.

NEW YORK, Aug. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Deepomatic, a computer vision company headquartered in France, has expanded into North America, opening a U.S. headquarters in New York City. Jesse Mouallek has joined the company as the Head of Operations to spearhead growth. Jesse is based in New York City and reports directly to Augustin Marty, CEO of the company.

Deepomatic provides the tools - both in the form of software and managed services - to allow organizations to build, operate and deploy their own enterprise-level AI applications to automate their visual processes through image recognition. Powered by Deepomatic Studio® and Deepomatic Run®, these AI applications can be deployed through the cloud or directly on a company's servers or data center.

By 2023, the computer vision market is estimated to grow from $11.9 to $17.4 billion. The rapid growth is attributed to the rise in process automation within factories automation. Applications within the foodservice and grocery, telecom and energy industries have also increased the need for computer vision technology within organizations. Customers using Deepomatic's technology include The Compass Group, Belron, and Airbus.

"We see the North American market as an incredible growth opportunity for our applications, which provide real-world solutions through computer vision," said Jesse Mouallek. "The telecom and QSR industries are specifically of interest and we believe they are ripe for the implementation of AI image and video recognition - particularly for making such practices as service calls and check-outs more efficient. Computer vision technologies could save industries like telecommunications and QSR millions in service fees."

Prior to joining Deepomatic, Mouallek served as a Sales Operation Manager at Clarifai, a computer vision and AI company in New York City, and held a number of sales and finance roles in both the U.S. and France. Mouallek received both a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from ESSEC Business School in France.

"With Jesse's extensive knowledge of the industry and the U.S. market, we believe we are perfectly positioned to bring our technology stateside," said Augustin Marty, Deepomatic's CEO. "Many enterprise businesses in the U.S. are beginning to adopt advanced computer vision technologies to improve their operation efficiencies, and we are excited to be working alongside these companies and helping them to achieve their business goals."

Originally founded in Paris, France in 2014, Deepomatic focuses on the real-world applications of AI in computer vision - specifically on the industrial level, making tasks more efficient. Deepomatic raised a $5.1M Series A round in February of this year to fund the North American expansion. The round was led by Hi Inov, with Alven Capital and Bertrand Diard participating in the round as well.

About Deepomatic
Deepomatic provides software solutions and managed services that enable organizations to automate their operational processes using computer vision. Their product suite, comprised of Studio® and Run®, allow organizational managers to operate custom AI applications at scale in as little as three months and without prior coding knowledge. In their restaurants, the Compass Group, a world leader in contract foodservice, has implemented a checkout system identifying and pricing each item on the meal tray, in real-time. This results in increased productivity, less waste, and an enhanced guest experience in every restaurant. Bouygues Telecom equips and trains its technicians with real-time image recognition in the field. As a result, the company can check 100% of the interventions by detecting defects and send non-conformity information directly to the work or after-sales teams.
